Hi there,
I have decided to make a difference by taking part in this year's Friendlies Cane2Coral 2017 Fun Run!
I have decided to fund raise for Mummy's Wish. Mummy's wish is to support families with children under 12 with mum's receiving treatment for cancer. This organisation is close to my heart. 4 years this year I was fighting cancer and at the time had a 3 year old. While in Brisbane for 6 weeks these lovely ladies visited me and my daughter. This organisation is a non for profit organisation and solely run on donation from you. By donating they can offer support for these families at a hard time. Every donation counts. $40 donation would purchase 1 mummy's wish talking comfort bear which you can record a message on to a child that has a sick mum

Mummy’s Wish
Mummy's Wish is the only Australian independent charity dedicated to providing practical solutions to mums who are diagnosed with cancer while their children are young (12 years and under). We know that every family's situation is different and provide personalised to ensure that these young families can keep functioning during Mum's battle with cancer. The work that we do allows Mums undergoing treatment to cope with their illness and meet the physical and emotional needs of a young family. Because a mum with cancer is still a mum.How we helpOur Support Coordinators work with each mum to establish their individual needs and find a practical way to ease the burden of managing family life through cancer treatment. These solutions include:
- house cleaning sessions or delivery of nutritious ready-made family meals
- hospital car parking vouchers
- access to free online counselling sessions
- voice-recordable comfort bears for children to feel close to mum when they are separated
- age-appropriate books to help children understand Mum's cancer diagnosis
- referrals to other support agencies
